Organisers of the North West Fashion Festival have confirmed the event will go ahead in 2017.
The confirmation comes after this year’s event was been hailed a huge success with more than 3,000 fashionistas packing in to St Georges Hall last weekend.
The event, which took place over both days, saw the city’s iconic building transformed into a catwalk show, complete with stalls and pamper areas.
Plenty of Liverpool designers showcased their collections on the catwalk including Mode Mwah, Miss Francesca Couture, KU Spendlove, and Leigh Taylor.
The festival celebrated its third birthday this year, and for the first time ever, one day was dedicated to children and families, with kidswear designer Melanie Louise wowing crowds with her catwalks debuting her new winter and Christmas collections.
Audiences were also treated to live performances from former X Factor contestants Kiera Weathers and Tom and Laura as well as Derby Ward- the daughter of The Real Housewives of Cheshire star Dawn Ward.
Plenty of celebrities joined in the event last weekend, with Dawn and co-star Tanya Bardsley hosting their own stalls while Tina Malone, Katie Salmon, Leanne Brown, model Sam Reece and former reality stars Marcus Collins and Mark Byron attending through the weekend.
Lauren Greene, founder and director of the North West Fashion Festival , was delighted with the success of the event. She said: “It was absolutely amazing – I couldn’t have hoped for a better turn out!
“The highlights of the event for me were undoubtedly the Melanie Louise kids’ catwalk finale which was amazing and all the performances over the weekend were brilliant.
“I’d like to thank all the celebrities who took to the catwalk. We have been blown away by the positive feedback and are now planning an even bigger and more exciting for 2017.”
At the moment, no location or exact date has been released for 2017’s North West Fashion Festival- but we will let you know as soon as we do!
